Update: Google announced it would shut down the Fitbit API in September 2026. As of October 2026 it has already stopped working for some users, and it could stop for everyone at any time without notice. Once it stops, Fitbit will no longer be available as a weight source on SmartScaleSync. We're looking into whether we can add support for the Google Health API as a replacement, but we're not yet sure it will be feasible.

To set things up, create a SmartScaleSync account and then connect Fitbit as your weight source and Garmin as a weight destination.
Going forwards, if you start a SmartScaleSync subscription ($1.58/month billed annually at $18.99, or $2.49 billed monthly), SmartScaleSync will automatically upload your completed weigh-ins to your Garmin account. First time customers get a 7-day free trial, cancel anytime before you're charged.
The uploads to Garmin will include weight, body fat %, body mass index, and the timestamp of the weigh-in (as long as this data is present in Fitbit).
